MY STORY
Baseball is where you get lost in the game. The smell of the food as you walk into the park, the people chanting for their team & talking about their favorite players, and as you walk to your seat there is a huge grass field with players with so much talent. Baseball is all about history including Black Sox Scandal in '19, Babe Ruth's called shot in '32 World Series at Wrigley Field, Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in '47, Bobby Thompson's "Shot heard around the World" in '51, Hank Aaron's 715 hr breaking Babe Ruth's all time homerun record in '74, Reggie Jackson's three homeruns in one game of the World Series in '77, Kirk Gibson's World Series walkoff homerun in '88, Joe Carter's World Series walkoff home run in '93. It is when your Dad takes you to a game as a young kid or plays catch with you in the backyard. Memories you do not forget as a kid, teenager, or as an adult. Baseball is one of those great games that you will cherish those memories forever. People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby
