1st Game at Kauffman Stadium
2007- We had been to Grandpa Wahrle's house in Pueblo, Colorado and my Dad, and I thought it would be nice to go to Kauffman Stadium. Before getting there we had taken Highway 50 which has nothing out there but 2 lanes. There wasn't a gas station or rest area for every 150-200 miles! We hit 2 bunnies, 1 bird, and a squirrel on our way to Kansas City. My dad had driven nine hours straight. We left at 8:10 A.M. MT and arrived at Kauffman Stadium at about 6:20 P.M. The Devil Rays were trying to snap their 11 game losing streak. James Sheilds went on to pitch their way out of it vs. Odalis Perez.
